Deep Muscle Massage
Deep muscle massage is the systematic and skilled manipulation of the soft tissue of the body to enhance health and healing. It is performed on a professional massage table, heated for your comfort, as needed. The procedure treats the head, face, ears, neck, pectorals (upper chest and shoulders), arms, hands, abdomen, back, legs and feet. Since this therapy can be effective only when applied directly to the body, the client is given time in privacy to disrobe and to lie on the table under cover of a soft flannel sheet. The body will remain discretely covered at all times, exposing only the area being worked on, when required. Soft music of your choice from our wide CD collection (or a favorite CD that you bring with you) can be playing in the background.
Key Benefits:
- Conveys a sense of balanced well-being
- Promotes healing
- Relaxes the body
Treatment Duration and Fee
The usual treatment session is about 1-1/4 hours and the fee is $65.
What are the Therapeutic aspects of Deep Muscle Massage?
These techniques improve blood circulation in your body by helping the venous system return blood to the heart. In addition, manipulating your musculature can unblock intra-tissue passageways, increasing lymphatic system flow throughout the body, allowing your body's natural antigens into areas where they are needed and releasing built-up toxins from places where they have been trapped. As a result, the therapy promotes natural healing and produces lasting relief of cramps and other types of body pain.
The massage will also improve the general performance of your skin in a very natural way, as your muscles are worked and you perspire gently through enlivened skin pores. The soothing creams that we use will ensure that you will feel just the right amount of friction, without burning, yet your skin receptors will be stimulated and your soft tissues will be smoothed out. We include pressure to some of your body's key reflex points so that the relaxation sensation will flow deeply into your body.
