Deep Muscle Massage
The treatment takes at least one hour and the regular fee is $75.
Deep muscle massage is the systematic and skilled manipulation of the soft tissue of the body to enhance health and healing. It is performed on a professional massage table, heated for your comfort as needed. The procedure treats the head, face, ears, neck, pectorals (upper chest and shoulders), arms, hands, abdomen, back, legs and feet. Since this therapy can be effective only when applied directly to the body, the client is given time in privacy to disrobe and to lie on the table under cover of a soft flannel sheet. The body will remain discretely covered at all times, exposing only the area being worked on, as required. Soft music of your choice from our wide CD collection (or a favorite CD that you bring with you) can be playing in the background.
This treatment promotes healing, relaxes the body and conveys a sense of balanced well-being.
Appointments are available in our studio and should be arranged at least one-day in advance.

The treatment is usually performed in our studio and lasts for 30 minutes and the fee is $35.
Without removing clothes (except thick or bulky items) you are guided into a comfortable position on the massage chair and the chair is adjusted to fit your body size and shape. With therapy applied from front, back and both sides, the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands are manipulated to a stress-free and relaxed state. The forearms, wrists, hands and fingers are worked with particular attention to relieve pain from repetitive strain injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. The session ends with a brief brisk massage of the back as a pleasant way of returning you to the work-a-day world.
This treatment will release stresses in the back, neck and shoulders and achieve an overall calming and relaxation.
Since the chair is portable, we can propose treatments in your home or office. Group rates can be arranged, as well.
Call at least 24 hours in advance for a 60-90 minute appointment. The fee will be discussed during your call.
In the course of intense muscular activity - during training, in competition, or in everyday life - the musculature is pressed to the limit. This often results in painful build-up of metabolic wastes in the muscle tissue, strains in connective tissue, inflammation of muscle fibers and tissues, and decreased range of motion in joints. The purpose of Sports Massage is to accelerate the body's natural healing process, to identify and eliminate potential injuries, and to reduce recovery time. For example, massage techniques will cut in half the time (normally 48 to 72 hours) required for fatigued muscle to recuperate. All aspects of this therapy will result in enhanced performance, a quicker return, and reduced pain and stiffness.
Sports Massage is called for in four main situations:
- Recovery: enhancing physical and mental rebound after strenuous activity
- Remedy: correcting a debilitating condition
- Rehabilitation: facilitating healing after a disabling injury
- Maintenance: helping to maintain optimum health and to accelerate recovery
- Event: preparing for or recovering from a specific competitive event.
In cases where the concern is strictly localized, the treatment may take as little as 30 minutes and a fee of $35 would apply. Often it will be advantageous to combine this with a full-body deep muscle massage.
Using Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitated (PNF) stretching techniques, we enable your body to become more limber and flexible. Through a painless set of easy, guided procedures, you will regain full range of motion in your arms, legs, neck and back.
